Getting involved

The Thames Valley region is run entirely by volunteers, both national and branch MS Society members, with the help of our Local Support Development Officer.

You could make a difference at Regional level – the Thames Valley regional Committee meets every two months or so in Reading to develop and implement strategies to support our 13 branches, to train and inform our volunteers, to provide information and support to our members and to make a real and positive impact on Health and Social Care provision throughout Berks, Bucks & Oxon.

We currently would welcome new members in several key positions on our main regional committee and newly revamped Health & Social Services sub-group. If you feel you could offer a little of your time and energy to take on one of the following roles then we would be delighted to hear from you:

  • Fundraising Officer
  • General committee member
  • Health & Social Services Group member

We can offer full support, comprehensive induction and ongoing training if necessary, and perhaps most importantly the chance to make a real difference on behalf of people affected by MS.

To discuss how you can help, have a chat to our Local Support Development Officer.
