The Branch is run entirely by local volunteers, many of whom have MS themselves, are living with or are close to someone who has MS, or have an interest or commitment to the aims of the Society. The Branch is managed by a Committee averaging around 8 in number, elected by the membership, with four named roles: Chairperson, Treasurer, Secretary and 2 Welfare Officers as well as general members. We are always keen to welcome new members, there is plenty to do!

  • Branch aims

Provide support for members and their families, both practical and emotional.
Provide information about all aspects of MS.
    Organise social events, outings, etc.
Raise funds both for the above and for research.
    Organise self-help groups.
Represent the concerns of the Society at a local level and to increase public awareness.

  • Welfare

Our Branch Welfare Officers have knowledge of services in the locality and ability to assist people, ease pressure and worries about practicalities.
