Welcome to the London Region's web site. The past couple of years have seen the London Region go though a number of changes. London has been divided into four sectors, led by small sub-groups who link into the new regional committee.
The Regional Committee will be supporting the work of the 29 London branches. Ensuring where possible that local needs are met.
The planned activities for the London Region are the Eight Essentials.

The Essentials:
- Newsletter
- To include details of regional planning, upcoming events,successes in the Region circulated to all Members
- Website
- To develop and maintain own website, linked to MS Society's main website.
- Annual Regional conference
- To plan and organise a conference or general meeting inviting all branches and the wider MS community.
- Maps and directory of key MS contacts
- To Develop and circulate simple up-to-date maps of key MS contacts across the region. With an accompanying directory listing the main health, social care and support services for people with MS.
- Partnership with health and social services
- To operate a sub-group developing and implementing strategy, agreed with MSNC, on work to improve health and social care for people with MS.
- Host Standard Training Events
- To identify suitable venues, and provide regional host, for standard training event (currently: Providing Support and Welcome Aboard).
- Welfare Forum
- To encourage networking between branch welfare volunteers, and provide opportunities for peer support and joint working. A Regional Welfare Contact to be identified.
- Support Branches in undertaking the Essentials
- To check branch completed branch Essentials form, check for accuracy and develop a regional strategy to support branches based on identified need. To motivate branches, promote good practice, break down any barriers and encourage branches to move beyond essentials.
