It is famous for its illuminations, from the beginning of September to November. The Tower dominates the seafront and looks out over the three piers. This family favourite seaside resort has something for everybody and is busy all year round.

The coast, encompassing Blackpool along with the seaside towns, looks out to the Irish Sea along miles of sandy beeches. Following the coast is the annual MS sponsored walk, from Tower to Windmill. 





Image of some sail boats moored at some docks The Borough of Wyre follows the river of its name from Fleetwood to Garstang. Here tourism meets agriculture along the river Wyre at the market town of Poulton le Fylde, which dates back to medieval times.
