Canterbury and District branch
The Canterbury & District Branch of the MS Society was formed in 1973 by a handful of members at the Day Room, Nunnery Fields Hospital, and 5 of the founder members are still with us today.
Throughout its history one thing has not changed. Branch members have always met on the first Friday of each month (excluding January) at 3 sites, Nunnery Fields, Red Cross Centre and latterly Strode Park Residential Home.
The meetings are very informal and provide members with an opportunity to listen to invited speakers, not always on MS but on a variety of subjects, and ask questions. Refreshments are also provided.
