Leadership in Developing Services

The Innovation and Achievement Awards take the place of the Essentials Awards. Their purpose is to recognise volunteers, branches and regions who are pioneers or leaders in transforming local support and services to deliver the Menu or have made a truly significant achievement to improve the local picture for people affected by multiple sclerosis (MS).
Suzanne Raphael, the Chairman of the South Devon Branch won this award for the exceptional leadership she has shown in developing services and partnerships in the Teignbridge and Torbay area. She has led the establishment of a number of unique partnerships with outside organisations, her partnership with RELATE and with the Citizen's Advice Bureau to establish a dedicated Advocacy Worker for people affected by Multiple Sclerosis (MS). Suzanne was praised for her driver and enthusiasm in this role. (Awarded 2006)
