Our Aims

Welcome to the Cheshire & Merseyside Region of the MS Society. We have 14 branches in our region, which includes the Isle of Man.

Our region has the following nine aims.

  • Ensure that the needs of people with MS are communicated to health
    and social services
  • Campaign on behalf of all people affected by MS
  • Provide practical support to branches in the region
  • Promote common standards of service for people with MS
  • Co-ordinate regional projects and activities
  • Help support and attract volunteers
  • Explore joint fund raising initiatives
  • Make the most of regional resources
  • Share information and experience within the region

To achieve these aims we undertake to:
  • Listen carefully to branches needs and provide useful support
  • Circulate branches with regularly updated lists of agencies, facilities and
    contacts available in our region
  • Host a series of meetings at which our specialists (treasurers, support
teams, transport officers, fundraisers, etc) can share ideas and
    proposals.
