South East Cheshire

The South East Cheshire branch covers Crewe, Nantwich, Alsager, Sandbach, Holmes Chapel and the surrounding area.

Crewe is perhaps best known for its association with the railway industry, being a major junction and once home to a bustling railway works. Crewe crater on Mars is named after the town of Crewe.

Geographically, Nantwich is on the 'Cheshire Plain', on the banks of the River Weaver and close to the Llangollen and Shropshire Union Canals.

Alsager is home to the Art & Design, Contemporary Arts, and Sports Science Departments of the Manchester Metropolitan University.

Sandbach a market town in Cheshire and home to the world famous Foden Brass Band.

Holmes Chapel is a large village located on the eastern edge of the Cheshire plain. The centre of the village is still the Parish Church, St. Luke's, which has a history all of its own.
