Liverpool is internationally known as a cultural centre, with a particularly rich history in popular music, performing and visual arts. And, Liverpool has two Premier League football clubs: Everton F.C. at Goodison Park and Liverpool F.C. at Anfield. The city also contains over 2,500 listed buildings. In 2004 Liverpool's waterfront was declared a UNESCO World Heritage site. In 2007 the city will celebrate its 800th anniversary and in 2008 Liverpool will hold the title of European Capital of Culture.
