Isle of Man

The Isle of Man is situated in the Irish Sea between England, Scotland, Ireland and Wales, less than 60 miles west of the Lancashire coastline.

The Island is a unique self-governing kingdom - a Crown dependency which belongs to neither the UK nor the European Union. It has its own parliament (called Tynwald), laws, traditions, culture, cuisine and postage stamps.

The island is 33 miles long, 13 miles wide and covers an area of 227 square miles. More than 40% of the Island is uninhabited.

Douglas is the capital of the Island, and is a favourite holiday destination.
