Alan has been fundraising for us for over a decade, raising around £80,000 through endurance challenges. He tells us about conquering Manaslu in Nepal — the world’s eighth highest mountain (8,163m).

Our Carols by Candlelight concert is happening on Tuesday 2 December to help raise funds for vital research. We spoke to one of our Stop MS Pioneers, Jacqueline Krarup, to hear about her experience at 2024's concert.

Debbie raised over £3,000 for us with her Summer Big Leap Skydive in June at Old Sarum Airfield near Salisbury.

Following Mae’s MS diagnosis, Sam and Mae joined the Larne and East Antrim Group as Fundraising Events Volunteers. Previously, Sam worked in financial services and Mae worked for the NHS as a biomedical scientist for 42 years. Now they’ve embarked on a new adventure raising funds for MS Society research through a commemorative project.

In August 2022, Stuart walked from Newcastle to Bournemouth, visiting each of the 20 Premiership football stadiums. He covered 600 miles in 21 days and raised over £16,000 for our Stop MS Appeal.

One of the ways we raise money is through face to face fundraising. The funds we raise go towards vital research and support services for people living with MS.

Annabelle was diagnosed with relapsing remitting MS in 2011. She was the first person to join the first stage of a myelin repair trial we’re funding.

We’re running a telephone campaign from Tuesday 10 October 2023.

This autumn Nicolla Wilson, whose mum has MS, will be climbing Mount Kilimanjaro to raise money and awareness for MS.

Raphael lives with relapsing remitting MS. In this blog, he talks about the uncertainty of living with MS, and his hopes for the future.

Sara Weller lives with progressive MS and is part of our Stop MS Appeal Board. She’s currently training for this year’s London Marathon to help raise money for research.

Sharon’s been Group Coordinator of the Swansea and District group since 2018. She tells us about the positive impact volunteering has had on her and her confidence.

Louise, from Gourock in Scotland, was diagnosed with relapsing remitting MS at 48. Over many years of fundraising for the MS Society, she’s raised nearly £30,000. She tells us how it all started and why she keeps going.

In 2022 Sue challenged herself to play 18 holes of golf on foot, for the first time since her MS diagnosis. And raised money to help stop MS.

MS changed my life. Of course it did. But my story’s not quite what you’d think. In 2005, I was a medical professor and NHS consultant, running a successful research group. In my spare time, I played in a ceilidh band.

Thanks to your support we’ve made some incredible achievements this year, ranging from campaigns to fundraising to research. Let’s take a look at just some of the highlights of 2022.

Jenny got a real sense of achievement from taking part in MS Walk London.

In May 2022, Dan raised over £4,000 for us by completing the Coast to Coast Walk. He shares a snapshot of the experience.

Jane Gentleman lives with relapsing remitting MS and co-owns Selkirk Distillers in the Scottish Borders. She tells us how their 1953 MS Society Gin was made and why it's relaunching in time for Christmas.
