Business gets guidance on disabled access

Guidance to businesses on access for disabled people has been issued by the Disability Rights Commission.
The code of practice is to help those providing goods and services to make reasonable adjustments to overcome physical barriers. New duties under the Disability Discrimination Act come into force in October 2004. DRC chairman Bert Massie said, "Accessible business is good business. Along with the code of practice we have produced a range of other useful publications for business and disabled people." The code is available on the DRC website www.drc-gb.org
