The purpose of the day was to bring together people with MS and their carers to meet professionals who could answer questions they may have.

The day began with a presentation on the 'Facts about MS' by Dr Stanley Hawkins. (The Facts about MS & The Facts about MS (2) )

Following this there were breakout sessions which were repeated in the afternoon:

 

Managing MS Fatigue

Fatigue management in MS - Bronough O'Kane, Occupational Therapist (Belfast City Hospital)
Healthy Bladder and Bowel - Nuala Douglas. Continence Manager (Royal Victoria Hospital)
Cognitive problems and tips for coping  - Dr Anita Rose, Highly Specialist Psychologist working with MS (The Walton Centre, Liverpool)
Physiotherapy - Siobhan MacAuley, Clinical Specialist Neuro-Physiotherpist (Belfast City Hospital)
Carers - Ricky Devlin, Manager (Belfast Carers' Clinic)
