Event: Living with MS Newquay

Date: 1 November 2008 to 2 November 2008
Location: Headland Hotel, Newquay

Saturday 1st November

The day began with an introduction and welcome by Richard Stevens, Regional Chairman of Devon and Cornwall. This led into a session on The Facts about MS by Dr Brendan McLean, Consultant Neurologist, Truro.

The day then broke into sessions, including:

Fatigue Management  - Jane Petty 
Carers caring for themselves - Susan Ross (Carers Only) 
Cognitive Issues - Steve Margison (no presentation available)
Physiotherapy  - Gareth Maguire

These sessions were repeated after the lunch.

Sunday 2nd November

The day began with a talk on Stem Cells by Dr Rickie Patani (see below). Then Stuart Nixon, Trustee of the MS Society talked about The MS Society, and Lynne Dean closed the day on a session on the Personalisation Agenda 'Putting People First'.

Both days were free to attend.
