The day will begin from a talk from the Regional Chairman, Peter Sanders from the Wessex and West Region.
Professor David Wraith, Professor of Experimental Pathology from the University of Bristol began the day with a talk on 'Specific Immunotherapy of Multiple Sclerosis'
The day then broke into workshop sessions including:
- Fatigue Management in MS
Denise Middleton, MS Clinical Specialist, Milton Keynes PCT - Carers caring for themselves (Carers Only)
Susan Ross, Manager of Carers Support, Kent - Cognitive Issues for people affected by MS
Dr Rose Lucas, Consultant Clinical Neuro Psychologist, Musgrave Park Hospital, Taunton - Physiotherapy in the management of MS
Trish Watts, Clinical Physiotherapist Specialist in Neurology, St Martins Hospital, Bath
These sessions were repeated in the afternoon after lunch, giving delegates the opportunity to attend two out of the four sessions.
