Event: Living With MS Information Day

Date: 25 November 2006 to 25 November 2006
Location: Ramada Jarvis Hotel, Bolton

Living with MS in Bolton was an enjoyable and informative information day for people with MS and their carers held in the Ramada Jarvis Hotel in Bolton. Over 100 people attended the day and learned about living with MS and also had the opportunity to share information and experiences with other people affected by MS.

The day included sessions on:

  • Fatigue management in MS (Adrienne Cox, Debbie Richardson and Shirley Mitchell)
  • Carers caring for themselves (Jim Chong) 
  • Cognitive issues for people affected by MS (Dr Anita Rose)
  • Direct Payments – could it work for you? (Gavin and Karen Croft)


In the morning there was also a talk on The Facts about MS by Carolyn Young, Consultant Neurologist from the Walton Centre in Liverpool. Gavin and Karen Croft also did a presentation on 'How to get a life - not just a service' - a copy of this DVD is available from the Conference Team. Please email Paul Crossman for a copy.
