Three Peaks Challenge

1 January 2007 to 31 December 2007, Great Britain

The Three Peaks Challenge involves climbing the highest peaks in Scotland, England and Wales consecutively! The general Three Peaks Challenge involves climbing:

  • Ben Nevis - Highlands, Scotland - 1,344m
  • Scafell Pike - Lake District, England - 978m
  • Snowdon - Wales - 1,085m

Generally, a team will set a target time from starting to climb the first peak to finishing the last. A challenging time to set yourself is 24 hours. However, completing the Three Peaks Challenge is an incredible achievement so set your own target or just aim to finish!

Your team will ideally comprise at least one (ideally two) specified drivers, who will not take part in the climbing. You will also need a navigator and as many climbers as possible.

If you fancy an even more incredible challenge then why not scrap the car? As an alternative, why not cycle, walk or even run between the three peaks?

One MS Society supporter who took part in the Three Peaks Challenge is Clive Miller and he has written an account of his team's Three Peaks Adventure.
