JAYS Fundraising Group

1 January 2009 to 31 December 2009, Bromsgrove and District

JAYS (Jackie, Anthony and Yvonne) are a volunteer group who support the MS Society by arranging a number of fundraising events in the Bromsgrove area throughout the year.

They decided to raise funds for the MS Society after Jackie was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 2002. Jackie felt that she did not want to "rest on her laurels" and let it get the better of her, so she decided to help towards research into a cure.

Jackie and her husband Anthony Turpin decided to raise funds for the MS Society and their great friend Yvonne Robson was more than willing to join them, so using the initials of their first names they formed JAYS.

JAYS have now handed over a second cheque for £10,000, to go along with a cheque for £5,000 in 2007. This makes a grand total of £15,000!
