From Dundee, Angus gained the Bronze award.
Champion profile:
Iain reached Bronze Award status after taking part in a series of running events.
Iain says he had never run before taking up his fundraising challenge, aside from his 'enforced' participation in school cross-country runs! However, since March 2006 Iain's impressive list of achievements include The Great North Run, The Great Edinburgh Run and The Dundee Half Marathon. Iain's sister, who has MS, also took part in the Great North Run, with Iain pushing her wheelchair around the thirteen mile course.
As well as raising sponsorship for these runs, Iain raised money through sweepstakes, car boot sales and cake sales. As well as wanting to help raise vital funds for the MS Society, Iain's other motivations were to lose weight and get fit. "Getting started with the running was hard work, but it became easier as I improved my fitness", Iain said.
Iain would like to thank everyone who has helped him raise a fantastic total of £1,800 for the MS Society: his friends and work colleagues, and Lara Bennett for her help with cake sales.
