Bibendum Wine

Bibendum Wine and the MS Society celebrated the news that Bibendum have raised over £100,000 during the last four years. An inaugural charity ball, hosted by Bibendum, marked the end of the remarkable partnership.

Since 2008, employees across Bibendum raised funds and awareness for the Society through a host of exciting activities. Highlights included entering a team from Bibendum in the 2009, 2010 and 2011 London Marathons (team member Helen McFarlane pictured left), a Three Peaks Challenge, a skydive and a chest wax!

The Bibendum Charity Ball took over the grand surroundings of 8 Northumberland Avenue in London with a 1920's themed evening. Over 350 guests gathered for a four course meal, followed by cocktails and music from The Correspondents and Radio 1 DJ Scott Mills (pictured above with Helen MacFarlane and Polly Long). Bibendum's hard work, and the generosity of the guests, raised well over £50,000, more than doubling the £20,000 target. These funds will be going to support the Society’s Cambridge Centre for Myelin Repair.

Bibendum managing director, Michael Saunders, said: “I am very proud of the creativity, energy and commitment the Bibendum team has invested to raise funds for the MS Society – and the fact we are the charity’s largest current corporate donor.

“The ball was a fantastic occasion that raised even more money than we had dared hoped for. It was terrific to see so many Bibendum customers, suppliers and partners in the same room for such a good cause, and I would like to thank everyone who generously donated prizes or who came along and contributed to the evening’s success.”
