  • reviewing research applications
  • meeting researchers
  • taking part in a research panel or steering group
  • improving the way we communicate research information

Why should I get involved?

The Research Network offers people affected by MS an opportunity to learn more about research and shape the Society’s research programme.

The success of our research programme relies on its relevance to people with MS, and you can help to make sure we’re funding research that meets the needs of people affected by MS.

Who can join?

The Research Network is open to anyone interested in research who has experience of living with MS or caring for someone with MS. It doesn't matter where you live or how much research experience you have.

We are looking for people who :

  • are willing to familiarise themselves with medical and research language
  • are good communicators and able to listen to others and express their views
  • are able to work collaboratively and supportively with researchers and other people affected by MS
  • are willing to work with the MS Society to improve the Research Network
  • are committed to helping us ensure that we receive maximum benefit for people affected by MS from our research programme.

We provide all the training you need and will support you in any way we can.
