Accessibility and facilities at MS Life

The MS Life team are here to help make sure you get everything possible out of MS Life.   

Accessibility

Manchester Central’s facilities have been designed to maximize accessibility for all delegates. All of the MS Life activities will take place on the ground floor, accessed directly from street level.  There are plenty of accessible toilets around the venue.  

Free scooter and wheelchair hire

Fair Mobility will be providing scooters and wheelchairs at MS Life.  

You can find out more information on the advance bookings page on their website. 

You can’t book online as they need to speak to you directly to assess your needs and confirm availability.  

For all mobility aid hire enquiries and bookings please email info@fair-mobility.org.uk or call 07553 365254. If they are not available to take your booking please leave a message on the answer phone and they will call you back within 24 hours.

Additionally we will have some scooters and wheelchairs available to hire on the day on a first come first served basis.

Proof of identity will be needed on collection of the scooter or wheelchair. This can be in the form of driving license, utility bill or passport.

Wheelchair/scooter charging points

Charging facilities will be available for electric wheelchairs and scooters.  Please proceed to the scooter and wheelchair hire point on the day for more information and charging points. 

Care assistants

We will have a team of care assistants available at MS Life.  They will be at various points across the venue, i.e. near accessible toilets and catering points.  You will be able to recognise them by their uniforms and T-shirts. 

Facilities

Crèche

There will be a free crèche at MS Life for children aged 0-15 years old.  Please state the ages of your children on your booking form if you wish to use this facility.   The crèche will operate during MS Life opening times only. 

Assistant dogs

Assistant dogs are welcome at MS Life.  Water bowls and an exercise area will be provided.

Hearing loops

Induction loops will be available in all workshops and the lecture theatres.  

BSL interpreters 

British sign language interpreters will be available during MS Life.  Please specify when you book if you will require this service and we will get in touch with you to arrange this service.  

Prayer Room

A prayer room will be available for you to use at MS Life.

Quiet Room

There will be an assigned quiet area at MS Life where you can go and have some time out.
