Why won't the email link work?

When browsing a website there may be email links that only work if the computer you are using has a default program setup to write/read emails. If you don't have a program setup the easiest thing to do is copy the link and paste the email address into your email program. You can right click the link and choose the 'copy' option and then open your email program and paste it into the 'to' field. Please note you may have to delete the bit that says 'mailto:'

Why doesn't the web link I clicked do anything?

The link you are clicking may open in a new window. Some of your computer settings could be restricting 'pop-ups' and so have an impact on the link. If you are running a newer version of internet explorer the following steps could help, alternatively please look at the help provided with your software or computer.
  • In internet explorer go to the menu: tools -> popup blocker -> popup blocker settings
  • Type the MS Society website address (www.mssociety.org.uk) into the field and click 'add'
  • Click 'close'
If you still have problem, it could be that the link is not properly formatted and so your computer may not understand what to do. If you think this might the case please contact us so we can fix the problem.
