Day Centres

 Volunteering template

The MS Society currently has four day centres operating in England and Wales. These are based in Bromley, Bournemouth, Redbridge and Swansea. Each day centre is run by volunteers with a few key staff in some centres to support these roles. We also have a Day Services Coordinator who provides support and advice to the day centres.

Our day centres are a vital source of support to people with MS in the local area, providing access to a range of services and social activities that they may otherwise find hard to access. Volunteers play an important role in supporting people with MS to attend our day centres and ensuring that the centre is an enjoyable place to visit.

As a volunteer, you could help to drive people to the centre, go on trips and outings, be a listening ear and chat to people with MS, make friends, help with Physiotherapy or other services, help in a small shop or cook. There are lots of ways in which you can volunteer and the team at each of the centres would be happy to find you a role that you are comfortable with.

All volunteers are supported in their role and training will be given.

If you are interested in volunteering for your local branch please complete a volunteer application form.
