Volunteering at MS Society Respite Centres and Holiday Homes

The MS Society has four specialist care centres operating around the country. They provide respite and short stays for people with MS.

As a volunteer you would be able to help enhance the holiday experience of people visiting the centre and hopefully make some friends along the way. Our centres really value the important work that our volunteers do and we have a variety of roles available, from driving to helping to run a bar, from gardening to going on trips and much more.

Our care centres offer a relaxed atmosphere with flexible leisure opportunities and an exciting programme of entertainment. To make this all possible they need the help of dedicated volunteers.

Our centres are in Horley, Leamington Spa, North Berwick and York.

Disclosure
People with MS are legally defined as vulnerable adults. Any role within our respite care centres is likely to bring a volunteer into one-to-one contact with people with MS so all volunteers will be required to apply for a Disclosure check. Having a criminal record will not automatically debar any volunteer from their role as it will be considered with reference to the role being carried out.

If you are interested in volunteering at a respite care centre, please complete a volunteer application form.
