The Policy and Campaigns team work on a wide range of issues that affect people with MS. Below are some of the key issues that we're campaigning on at the moment. Care and support

We need your help to ensure that the Government delivers on the promise of radical reform of the social care system to give everyone free access to the care and support that they need. The MS Society is fighting to ensure that any proposals for the future of the system will address the needs of people affected by MS.

Access to MS drugs on the NHS

a hand with some pills on itThe MS Society believes that people with MS should have access to proven treatments for their condition no matter where they live in the UK. However, not everyone with MS gets access to the right treatment at the right time, and in some cases people with MS are denied access altogether.

Benefits and work

a stack of pound coinsPeople with MS have the right to welfare support if they are no longer able to work. The Government is making big changes to the way that sickness benefits are paid. The MS Society wants to make sure that no one with MS loses out through any changes to the benefit system.

Supporting MS Nurses

a nurse and patientMS nurses are a vital source of knowledge and support for people with MS. Currently, there is less than one nurese for every 400 people with MS in the UK.
