Policy and Campaigns

The Policy and Campaigns team ensures that the voice of people affected by MS is heard in Parliament, by policy makers in the civil service, and at the highest level of Government. Many people with MS are still denied the ability to fully participate in society and find that exiting services are not meeting their needs. This is why the MS Society is fighting for better services and a more equitable society for all those affected by the condition, and we need your help.
Key Campaigns - the MS Society's campaign priorities for 2008
A fairer social care systemThe state of social care and how to secure its long-term funding is one of the key issues on the Government's agenda. The Society is fighting to ensure that the voices of people affected by MS are heard in the debate.
Rising transport costs for MS Society branches
The MS Society is concerned that rising transport costs - fuel price rises, the increase in Vehicle Excise Duty and particularly the introduction of the London Low Emissions Zone (LEZ) - could have an adverse affect on branches operating their own transport.
