Legacies & In Memory
Forward thinking
For a future free from MS,
will you think about remembering us in your will?
Why the MS Society needs legacies
If we are to achieve our goal of beating MS, we need an income we can rely on in years to come. One of the most important and lasting ways people can support the MS Society is by leaving a legacy.
This vital income enables us to fund the best scientists and increase our research into new, effective treatments. But while thousands of people are looking forward to a life free from the effects of this debilitating condition, they also need us to think of them today. Income from legacies ensures we can provide the information, support and specialist care people with multiple sclerosis so desperately need, right now.

Why you need a will
It's vital to think about the future and make a will
The only way to guarantee that your loved ones will be provided for financially after you’ve gone is by making a will. Some people think – quite wrongly – that if they die without a leaving a will, everything will automatically go to their wife or husband. Unfortunately, this may not be the case.
If you do not make a will, the law could divide your estate between your distant relatives, possibly in ways that you may not have wished. So if you want your loved ones to be taken care of, make sure you write a will and keep it up to date. A solicitor can quickly and easily do this for you – if you’re prepared, it doesn’t need to cost a great deal.
