Who benefits? What DLA changes might mean for people with MS
Posted on 12 Aug 2011 at 12:22PM by Chloe GeorgeA major shake-up of the benefits system is afoot, including radical changes to Disability Living Allowance (DLA).
The Government say this will “better reflect disabled peoples’ needs and extra costs they might incur in society today”. But the changes were premised on a target to save 20% on the DLA budget.
In short, DLA is being replaced with a new benefit, called the ‘Personal Independence Payment’ (PIP). What will this mean for people with MS?
