The other problem with not showing the original poster is that if you come on here and reply to several posts your name is showing on all of them... and if you use more than one board, which I do, your name is showing on several posts on several boards... making you look like a complete obsessive...

OK OK I know I am a complete obsessive but I don't want the whole MS world to know...

I'm almost (and I stress almost ) too embarrassed to keep answering posts... :?

Well some of us have to, and I`m yet to find out if I reply to the right person or if I know what I`m doing on here now. lol.

You seem to be doing ok Tipsy... got your post on and that's the first step.

It gets much easier and then gets to be really good...

Im going to look like an obsessive board user also, cause i cant get online using my smartphone been using my laptop instead and staying logged in due to some of the pesky login issues there have been. Problem with that is that we are now visible as online - so looks like i am here 24/7 despite doing what has been recommended i can seem to find the option to "hide" online status
Also now i have been using my laptop i have been clearing out emails so expect a wee bit of a flurry of several of my posts on here this
evening before i shut the laptop down for the night and watch x factor lol

Oh thank God it is not only me!!!!

Because ot the time zone difference I am often posting when there aren't many people around and by the time I have finished I look like the biggest Board Hog in the Universe

OK OK I admit I am actually a Boardaholic but in the old days I could do it without everyone noticing quite as much!

B (a sad case)

Thanks Pat, only thing is I never know when people have replied to my post, and am having lots of trouble with a new avatar, just that when I find the one I want I can`t find the copyright box to ticki.
The good news is that the smilies have appear.

I'm shown as logged in all day, I flit in and out and if people think I'm a bit obsessive or 'whatever' they're probably right

I hate it, Pat!!!!!

It's silly? Why can't you see the original poster? It makes no sense?

Don't think I'll be coming on here too often?

It really isn't the same?

Hi Pat, yes, I don`t like not being able to see who posted a topic either!

As you and others have said, we`ll look like constant users.....okay, I do spend a lot of time on here...but it is in competition with my new sewing machine now!!! My mini quilts are looking cute!

Aww Donna stick with it, think we have reached some sort of compromise in the interim if we put our user name in brackets at the end of the post title. Hopefully they will get something sorted soon that will allow us to see original poster - in the meantime we just have to preserver.
