Hello.  Not sure I know how to use this but here goes.  I have PP MS and am considering buying an electric foot cycle that you sit in a chair and use.  It is known as Activcycle  and in its blurb the first condition mentioned is MS.  Before I spend £168.00, does anyone out there use one or know of anyone that does?  Gill

Hi Gill and welcome to the boards. You must`ve got it right as your post arrived!

Whilst we can all use any of the boards, you may find the PPMS one interesting too.

I think I know of the cycle you mention.

Things is, do you think you will be able to out your feet onto the peadals yourself, or will you have help?

I once bought a semi-incumbent bike exerciser, but couldn`t get my feet on by myself, and when hubby did it for me, they slipped off. Plus I didn`t have the leg strength to push the pedals right round. I paid £150 for it and sold it for £100, not long after!

It wasn`t electrically powered. I found it really hard going.

I have tried the non-electric  foot excerciser, like the one I thin you mean and it moved away as i tried to pedal............again no good for me.

It would be a good idea if you could` try before you buy`, eh?

Thanks for that Poll.  I have a sit on excercise bike but my feet are now slipping off the pedals and I am concerned about strapping them is as it would not be a nice trip down if I fell off the saddle!  The point you make about putting your feet in and it pushing away as you go to pedal it (allbeit a manual version you are refering to) is very valid.  Try before I buy is not an option at the moment as it would come from the opposite side of the country (Norfolk & I live N.Wales) so I'm hoping that someone has tried it.  Thanks again.
