My friend with MS in a wheelchair, newly in a nursing home having recently lost the use of her arms and hands as well as legs. She wants to read books. Does anyone have experience of using an e-reader, such as Kindle or Kindle Touch, in this situation? I think Kindle Touch would require a fine touch beyond her powers, but on the other hand it does include an audio facility that will read pages out loud.

The audio facility on the kindle isn't great TBH.  It sounds like a robot talking and the word emphasis is all wrong.

You can buy audio books and I would hope that they are a more natural alternative to the kindles audio.
