The MS Society Nurse Programme aims to have a strategic role in stimulating MS specialist multi-disciplinary teams.

- To assist the development of multi-disciplinary teams in England and Wales
- To improve the quality of health care services for people with MS in relation to the National Service Framework for Long-term conditions and the White Paper, 'Our health, Our care, Our say'
- To work towards equitable access to health and social care services for people with MS
- To develop knowledge and skills of professionals about the treatment and care of people with MS
- To foster collaborations between professionals and people with MS, to provide information and support
