Funding MS specialists

The MS Society Nurse Programme aims to have a strategic role in stimulating MS specialist multi-disciplinary teams.

The programme funds health and social care posts in MS specialist teams in community, rehabilitation, primary, acute care settings and in palliative care. The key aims of the MS Nurse Fund are:
  • To assist the development of multi-disciplinary teams in England and Wales
  • To improve the quality of health care services for people with MS in relation to the National Service Framework for Long-term conditions and the White Paper, 'Our health, Our care, Our say'
  • To work towards equitable access to health and social care services for people with MS
  • To develop knowledge and skills of professionals about the treatment and care of people with MS
  • To foster collaborations between professionals and people with MS, to provide information and support

How to apply for a grant

All potential applicants must read the 'Statement of policy and guidance for applicants'. This document details the aims of the MS Nurse Fund, and the process involved in making an application.
