 Therapies
Aromatherapy, chiropody, physiotherapy and reflexology are offered to members and one carer at home by fully qualified therapists. If you are interested in any of these, please contact the Branch on 0121 745 7981.

Monday Meeting Dates
26th July, 9th & 23rd August, 13th & 27th September between 2pm & 4pm
Location: Shirley Centre, Stratford Road, Shirley
Our Monday Meetings are social gatherings welcoming new and old friends for a relaxing afternoon. Enjoy a great cup of tea and maybe a quiz, a raffle and the occasional talk.
If you use a wheelchair and need a lift, we may be able to pick you up in the Branch Ambulance. Please contact the Transport Manager on 0121 745 7981 to make arrangements.
Any ideas for Talks/demonstrations for our Monday Meetings are always welcome. Please contact Mary Fogarty or Sue Pym.

Drop-in Centre
16th August, 20th September between 10am and 1.30pm
Location: Shirley Centre, Stratford Road, Shirley
At the drop-in centre there are two therapists available to give FREE treatments, either reflexology or reiki. Everyone is welcome to come along - free tea and coffee are served all morning!

Awareness Events
2nd August, 6th September from 9.00am until 1.00pm approx. (none in May)
Location: Solihull Hospital in the Main entrance Foyer
Held on the same Mondays as the MS Nurses Clinic. As with the drop-in sessions please encourage people to visit our stand and pick up the latest information or call Heather Wilson. If you are visiting the MS Nurse, come round and see us.
Please note that there are no Awareness events during January and May, due to bank holidays.

Carers' Monthly Coffee Mornings
From 10.30 – 12 noon on the first Thursday of every month
Location: Sunrise Senior Living,1, Worcester Way, Off Dog Kennel Lane, Solihull, West Midlands, B90 4JX
Looking after an elderly family member and in need of a break from the daily routine?
Come along to Sunrise of Solihull where we are happy to offer a warm welcoming environment with refreshments, entertainment and guest speakers. These events will also offer the opportunity to chat to other carers.

The Branch have registered themselves with this service which raises funds with shoppers online. You can choose from over 2000 of the UK's best-known retailers including many popular names such as Amazon, M&S, Argos, John Lewis and HMV.
It is free to use and many retailers now give extra discounts when you buy online.
Up to 15% from every purchase you make is donated to the Branch. Before shopping you will need to register a user login password and indicate which Charity you support. The Branch is registered as Multiple Sclerosis Society Solihull Branch.

Save Your Stamps
Branch Member Heather Wilson is requesting all Branch Members to save used stamps from their mail. These will be used to raise funds for MS research. It is important to leave a quarter of an inch border around each stamp. You can give your stamps to Heather at the Monday meetings, the drop in meetings or ring her on 0121 745 6003.

Entry fee £25 Minimum age 14
Wheel and Walk
Sunday 15 August
University of Birmingham, Selly Oak Campus
Approx 3km and 5km accessible routes
All funds raised must be paid to National Crntre first who will subsequently transfer to nominated branch. National Centre will provide all sponsor forms, t-shirts etc.
Advanced registration fee £10 for adults, £3 for under 16's. On the day it will be £20 and £5. Minimum sponsorship £25.
Parachute Day
4 September at Hinton Airfield, Walltree House Farm, Steane, Brackley, Northamptonshire NN13 5NS
Minimum sponsorship £395 of which approximately £130 from each jump comes to the Society.

Minimum age is 16.
Bungee Jump
11 and 12 September at West Midlands Water Ski Centre, Tamworth Road, Cliff, Warwickshire B78 2DL
160 foot jump
Minimum sponsorship £50 and aged 14.

Fashion Workshop
23rd September 2010 from 6pm until 8pm
Location: John Lewis, Touchwood, Solihull, West Midlands, B91 3RA
There will be a fashion adviser with a model showing next Season's clothes, accessories and shoes. A glass of wine and nibbles will be offered on arrival. Concert

Location: Arden Hall, Castle Bromwich
