We offer support and information for those affected by MS in our area.

For example:

• Help with support and benefits issues
• Branch newsletter
• Information about MS - this includes publications, person-to-person contact and information events
• Monthly social gathering and other events
• Financial assistance

Support
The committee offers support and information to all those affected by MS, their families and carers. This includes emotional support, financial support, advice on holidays and respite care.

We hold information on other local organisations who could provide help such as healthcare professionals, social services and benefit agencies. Grants are available where applicable to help towards equipment, respite, holidays etc.

We have branch representatives on duty regularly to offer advice and information: at other times publications from the national MS Society are on display for you to browse or take away.


Publications
We stock a number of publications and back copies of our newsletter.

Membership
There is a minimum £5 annual branch subscription.

For this you will receive a copy of the national publication, MS Matters, the branch newsletter and entitlement to vote at the branch AGM. In addition you will be able to attend the various functions arranged by the branch committee throughout the year.
