Caroline has known about MS since her younger sister was diagnosed 16 years ago and has learnt more since she was diagnosed 4 years ago, age 36.  She thinks that the combination of her personal experience of MS, her professional skills and her commitment to ensuring that the Society’s objectives are met mean that she can add a different perspective to the board.

She was very keen to continue as a board trustee for a second term to ensure that the Society's exciting new strategy is effectively implemented, as well as to provide continuity to the board. She strongly believes that the Society needs to improve the links between all levels and she is currently heading up the project to improve board transparency and communications.

Her motivation for being a trustee is about give and take; she feels that her blend of business, financial and investment management skills gained through nine years in industry and eight in the financial services sector enables her to add value to the board’s decision making and strategic processes.  She has thoroughly enjoyed being a Trustee for the last three years and feels that it offers a unique opportunity to work with a diverse board for a highly professional organisation.
