More about Amanda Cox
It is an exciting time for the MS Society as we work towards achieving the aims of our new strategy.
Amanda has a vested interest in achieving the aims of the strategy as she has been living with MS for over 15 years, and is familiar with the challenges that this can bring. By working together, she feels that we can lobby our various stakeholders so that they include people affected by MS in all of their decision making. She believes we are stronger when we use the power of our collective voice to have an impact, whether that be influencing research, social or health care or educating people about the impact of MS on people’s lives.
In Amanda's first term of election the Society has already made significant progress in achieving success with spending commitments to reduce our historically high reserves at MSNC and managing our cash in a fairer way so that it can develop and support more underdeveloped branches. This has a direct impact on making the support that the Society offers available to more people affected by MS.
