"Couple" advert
This advert reflects one possible impact of MS on a young couple. Sex and relationships were highlighted in our research as a key concern for the recently diagnosed, and the topic is always being raised on our message boards. MS Society workshops dealing with this sensitive topic are among our most popular.
"Work" advert
MS can have a major impact on people's work and careers. Most respondents to our annual Big Survey told us that their careers had suffered significantly as a result of their MS. Some people are able to stay in employment with the help of their employers and colleagues; others are not so fortunate.
"Legs" advert
Many people with MS have told us that their friends became reluctant to ask them out for a drink, largely due to misunderstandings of how MS' invisible symptoms affect people.
"Shoes" advert
Giving up high heels comes up time after time when talking to women with MS! This advert (and the legs one) reflects the facts that MS can often lead to you having to make changes to your lifestyle to adapt to its impacts.
