Travel 180 miles to Salisbury Hospital for a functional electrical stimulation consultation. The journey takes five hours, including two hours stuck on the M25 in which we covered only two miles. But once there I try out a device that miraculously appears to much improve my walking ability. I have to return in a month's time to be fitted with the 'Odstock Dropped Foot Stimulator'.
