Michele Levani
Michele Levani is a 38 year old married mother of two daughters, and an artist.
Of her art, Michele says, "I have recently been diagnosed with MS, although I am sure that I have just gone undiagnosed for many years. My biggest fear is to lose my ability to draw and paint. At times I feel like I have two left hands, but with the loving support of my family and friends, I continue to create. I'm not as fast as I once was and maybe not as meticulous, but it has challenged me to improve.
I would love to be able to illustrate for books and magazines, but I haven't been able to break into that field as of yet. I work in a wide variety of medium except watercolour. Watercolour is the hardest medium to control when you like detail, as I do. With MS, I certainly don't need or want that sort of conflict! I love faces and prefer to do portraits more than anything. The eyes truly are the window to the soul!"
