Kathleen Wade Intro
Kathleen was diagnosed with MS in 2002. Her art is very positive and reflects her view that new developments in treatments are being discovered everyday.
'My name is Kathleen Wade. I was diagnosed 2 years ago with a Benign form of MS.
Thankfully this does not affect my artistic ability however it does limit my walking, making it extremely difficult for me to travel by myself to artistic events and galleries - something which I did very regularly. All is not lost however as with our Tandem I can experience a great feeling of mobility and freedom on many days out.
I have degree and HND qualifications in Art history and Art, and have a positive attitude to medicinal assistance being discovered. Because of my confident outlook, I believe my paintings and sculpture of myself and family, home, friends and pets does not reflect a worrying state of mind. As my husband says "It's important to concentrate on what you can do and not what you can't do.'
