David Lydiate
David uses his camera to take him to places he can't reach. He finds photography helps him live with his MS but also enjoys campaigning in his local area.
'After the first year of living with MS my life has improved. The theory 'Mind over Matter' has been crucial in my recovery. You aim high all the time.
Photography was a hobby as well as a career, I now use it as escapism, this helps me live with MS.. Although I am unable to walk up steep hills, I can use my zoom lens to do that. Using your imagination in Photography, helps you take your mind off the fact you have MS, I have now designed my own Website.
Having MS makes me more determined about campaigning against systems that are badly organised. Free Transport systems that are supposed to take you from destinations, to your own home and vice verca, 'In you own local area', and don't do this, are an example of what annoys me! Far more adverts and campaigns in the mass media including schools and work places about MS Awareness, need to happen!'
