Writing guidelines
We are very pleased to receive your poems, articles, etc for the website. However it would help us if you use the following word and layout guidelines for any work submitted to the Web Team. Thanks in advance.
Diaries
Total word count: 100 words
Words per diary entry: 30 words
Arranged by date and covering at least five-days
Here is an example of a published entry:
'Saturday March 9th 2002
Today I attended a workshop called Meditation - To Quieten the mind. We spend most of the day with our eyes closed....
Sunday March 10th 2002
Woke up feeling relaxed from yesterday. Started the day with my usual vitamin regime....'
Articles
Total word count: 100-150 words
Paragraphs word count: 30-40 words
On any subject that concerns you as a person with MS or as a carer.
Here is an example of a published entry:
'The day I was told I suspect that each of us with MS can clearly recall the day we were told we had the disease....... Both responses are understandable, but usually a waste of time and energy. what could, or would you have done that would have changed the way of the disease and its progress'.
Poems
Total words count 50-100 words
On any subject that concerns you as a person with MS or as a carer.
Here is an example of a possible submission:
'Hitting 40
A time for reflection or simply to take time
out and laugh at the world and celebrate'.
Please note that submission does not guarantee a piece is published and that any editorial changes will be agreed with the writer.
